I'm going to go back about a week to Sunday, January 20th and catch you guys up on all things Boy and Girl, some sad and some very, very exciting!
Sunday, January 20th
-We had a very odd afternoon, things just didn't feel "sorted," very uneasy
-Talked to my dad who said a 31 year old friend of my mom's had a stroke and was in the hospital
-Talked to my mom, and found out that her friend passed away from a massive stroke, leaving a husband and one-year old little boy
-Hosted Life Group at our house, served Marbled Chocolate Treats
-During Life Group, my mom called. She was letting me know that my grandfather had passed away. He'd been sick for a couple years, and his stomach aneuryism burst (he'd taken a turn for the worse on Friday, January 18th)
Monday, January 21st
-Off work for MLK Day
-Went to Kirkland's Outlet and Subway with Maile for girl time...nice, not stressful, needed this after Sunday

-I cleaned part of the house
Tuesday, January 22nd
-Went to work, but really, really exhausted
-Tied up loose ends at work so I could take off
Wednesday, January 23rd
-Justin's 27th Birthday, made me sad that he isn't here
-Worked half a day
-Drove to Arkansas
-Mom doing okay
Thursday, January 24th
-Wal-Mart trip at 8:30AM with mom
-Someone called to notify my mom that my grandpa's brother had passed away from a heart attack (two brothers died within four days of each other)
-Lunch at the church where my parents were married
-Grandpa's visitation
-Introduced Fisher to lots of family he'd never met, hope he remembers them all
-Nice visitation, our jobs sent really nice plants
-Mom still doing okay, but sad
Friday, January 25th
-Suzy Q, my parent's cockatiel (bird) laid an egg!
-Lunch at my aunt's church...never seen so many casseroles in one place
-Grandpa's funeral, very nice service
-Graveside service on a very, cold, windy day
-Mom upset today, but doing fine
Saturday, January 26th
-Mom went to her uncle's funeral
-We stayed around the house
-Went to Ed's Catfish House with the whole family. This is something we used to do with my grandpa everytime the whole family was in town. Nice way to celebrate his life.

2 things to read...:
No wonder I was thinking about you all week. I almost e-mailed you since it had been so long since you posted to find out if everything was ok. I'm so sorry to hear about all the sad news. That was NOT as easy week. I'll keep your Mom in my prayers.
I'm constantly amazed at how God works! This is twice in two weeks that He's laid people on other people's hearts, when they needed it! Thanks so much for your prayers!
Our friend was waiting on the results of a test (which he did not pass), but our old Sunday School teacher had a pressing on his heart to get up early and pray for the guy the morning of his test, and they had not talked in a while, so the teacher didn't even know why he was praying. Turned out that even though he failed the test, his company got this big contract they'd be waiting on for months!
