Mystery Guest...

I can't believe I forgot to mention one of the most interesting things that happened at Fisher's birthday party! The party started at 7ish, and shortly there after, there were 6-8 people here. Fisher had answered the door last and left it unlocked. I'm not comfortable leaving the door unlocked...even when we're expecting people!

We were all gathered in the kitchen, when Fisher went to let someone in. A man, who looked Greek, and was toting a 3-year old and a baby carrier, walked into the house. I didn't recognize him, after all, the only 3-year old we know is our niece! Fisher had a very strange look on his face, and walked quickly into the kitchen without saying anything to this guy. He was just left standing in the entry. I mouthed to Fisher, "Do you know him?" and he shook his head, and said no. I tell Fisher that I don't know who he is either. Of course, I'm slightly concerned that I'm not recognizing one of our friends! Fisher immediately walks back out to the entry and tells the guy he thinks he has the wrong place and this is a birthday party. Realization hits the guy...they obviously weren't going to a birthday party!

So, the guy got really embarrassed, and walked outside. Where we ran into six more people, coming up the sidewalk, who were with him, all nicely dressed and holding food! Our "guest" explained the situation to us. The group had the right street number -- all corner houses in the same street position as ours have the same house number in this neighborhood! They were also looking for a street name that started with an S and was a Trail. Well, all streets in this neighborhood off the main road are Trails, and we're the only S street. We figured he meant Cimmaron, sounds like it starts with an S, but doesn't. So, we sent him on his way.

We walked back into the kitchen, and I told Fisher, "This is your birthday party. You should know everyone here!" LOL Turned out several people at our party had seen cars lined up on Cimmaron, and almost turned there. Two of our guests even tried to go to the party on Cimmaron! They were welcomed in! What's even funnier, is that our guests have been to our house before! LOL

Maybe we should have had one big party?
