My mom has a pig in her kitchen, next to the stove that holds a chalkboard menu. The pig was a Christmas gift from her sister. The pig had a message for us each morning.
Saturday morning, we woke up to the breakfast menu written by my dad. Cindy made a fabulous breakfast for us while we were in Illinois, so I wanted to recreate it for my folks. My hashbrowns weren't crispy and brown like Cindy's. I think I "stirred" them too much, even though the package said to "turn", not "stir." Oh well, they tasted good...just a little soft and white. I'll have to practice! Cindy made some of the best fried eggs I've ever had, I should have got a lesson in egg frying from her while we were there! The eggs were perfectly white, no lace and no brown edges. How does she do that?! Sorry, Cindy, that I forgot to tell you how fabulous the eggs were while we were there!
This is the dinner menu for Saturday night. I made the sandwiches that I've posted about before. We have a joke in the family where we call them "sangwiches" and I thought it would be funny, and shorter to write Tater salad! And, KY Derby Pie rhymes!
This is the Sunday morning pig with my dad...the pig didn't want us to leave (between us, my dad didn't want us to leave). That made me sad, so we stayed another day! The pig wasn't allowed leave us a message the next day!
We left one for them though, and I forgot to take a picture!

5 things to read...:
Did the pig mention anything about "sesame chicken" while you were there?
Ha! No, but we did go to two buffets: Chinese and pizza. LOL
Haha your dad's handwriting looks just like my dad's!
And I agree with you about hashbrowns - they are soooo hard to cook right!!
Must be how you have to write if you're an electrician! At least it's legible on the chalkboard...on paper my mom calls it "chicken scratch." LOL
LOL yeah that's what I thought too! haha
