Our friend Mike is the lucky recipient of a housewarming party this weekend! Hosted by moi, PG and Bell. As part of my newly acquired "granny" status (since I'm cooking and knitting), I'll be preparing two delicious dips. LOL Well, I know one is delicious because I taste-tested it last night!
This is in honor of the homeowner, who is very much an Italian Stallion, unfortunately, he does not like sour cream...we can't have everything people!
Italian Stallion Dip
1 package dry Italian dressing seasoning (I use Good Seasons)
16 oz sour cream
Mix together and serve. Easy, huh?
White Bean Dip
(courtesy of allrecipes.com)
2 (15 ounce) cans cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro
3 cloves garlic, crushed or to taste
1/3 cup olive oil
1 1/2 lemons, juiced
salt and pepper to taste
In a food processor, combine the cannellini beans, cilantro, garlic, olive oil and lemon juice. Process until smooth, or to your desired consistency. Taste, and season with salt and pepper.
However, due my personal dislike of cilantro and lack of ingredients at my house, I've altered the recipe:
BR Bean Dip
1 (15 ounce) can cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
Garlic to taste (this means a lot for me)
1/6 cup olive oil (how will I measure this?)
salt and pepper to taste
Puree in blender since I don't have a food processor.
