So, on Saturday night the four us got a craving for brownies...well, Jen and I got a craving. I had a package of brownie mix, so I whipped it up. Something went horribly wrong when the brownie batter began to spread across the pan. It was a 8x8 pan size mix, but I put it in a 9x13. I didn't expect it to spead out into such a thin layer! Then the nonstick spray I used floated to the top of the mix and made weird, nasty looking bubbles. I think part of this is my inexperience with the house's oven. We let the brownies cool while we played a game. Of course, now all four of us wanted brownies, so we made a trip to Kroger to get a Duncan Hines mix. I won't use the off brands again anytime soon. When I dumped out the bad brownies, they fell out of the pan in solid sheet!
