The Counter...

On the recommendation of friends in California, Fisher and I visited the Dallas franchise of a burger joint called The Counter. The Counter is Jen's (California Jen, not Texas Jen) favorite restaurant. It was pretty good! We had the chili cheese fries, tasty! I also like that they have sweet fries too! We didn't have any, but if they're like the ones at Wingstop, then they must be fabulous! I got a beef burger, with gruyere cheese, grilled onions, grilled pineapples, pickles and tomatoes on an English muffin. I do like the English-muffin-as-bun idea! And, I definitely think we need to get a grill for our backyard! Fisher got a chicken sandwich with grilled mushrooms, grilled onions and Tillamook cheddar cheese! He ate his really fast, and I ended up eating mine with a knife and fork. It was still too big to bite, even on the muffin! Thanks Jen and Rick for the great recommendation and fun excuse for dinner out! I didn't have my camera (I usually do), so no pictures! But the food is artfully presented!
