Bake a Cake...

I made a birthday cake for my aunt and uncle. I used a springform cake pan, and it made a huge cake! One box mix per layer! It also took about eight cups of icing to cover it! About two cups white, four cups of yellow and two cups of orange! I've never used that much icing on a cake! I need to work on my centering a little bit! I even practiced it on paper...just didn't follow my own steps! My lines are a little lumpy! This was my first attempt using buttercream made with butter instead of Crisco (the orange icing). The yellow was Crisco. I think I'll be sticking with the Crisco version!
