Shockolate Cake...

We went to Mike and Jen's (future) house yesterday to grill and chill. We had hot dogs, sausage, baked beans and potatos au gratin. Yum!

We played with Chica and got in a few sessions of Guitar Hero.

I made a fun chocolate cake. I used my six inch pan because I wanted to make the cake tall! I also made chocolate ganache and whipped it to become thicker frosting. It seems trendy to not ice the outside of the cake. Since I'm a slave to trends (ha!), I decided to let the icing squish out over the edges. It looked really tall, and some might say it was a tribute to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The cake didn't travel well as it looked a little sloppy once we got to the house. I wasn't thrilled with the taste of the chocolate cake, but the ganache was rich!

I was hiding around the side of the house and you didn't even know it. However, I took the underground back over to Frisco to do some shopping.
